some crazy stuff!!! I'm glad you guys enjoyed your trip this past week, I'm excited to get home and be able to take trips with you guys and stuff. Less than 6 months and I'll be home. The sisters from my generation go home tomorrow. The time has gone by so fast, hopefully it keeps going by fast and I can get lots of work done before I get home. That's some crazy stuff about the new ward though!! I can't believe the church has grown so much there! It'll be really weird to get back and have all the new wards and stuff. We'll have to put all 4 wards together to listen to my homecoming talk. hahaha, but dude you're gonna have to forgive me for the pictures bc I forgot my camera cable...and besides there haven't really been good things to take pictures of recently.. just use one from the mountain trip we took. my hair is looking good though. and the acne is still good. I bought some new deodorant this week that is supposedlyantiperspirant but I don't think it really works lol. oh well. My new companion is Elder Allen, he's from Utah, he's got 4 months in the mission. He's a funny guy, I think we'll have a good change together. I'm exciting for this new change to get some good work done. Pray for our area, so that we can find new investigators, and that the members will give us references. That's been difficult lately, but we've been working a lot with less actives. Well tha'ts about it this week mom. Love you lots, I'll try and send pictures next week
Elder Jones is serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Mexico, Mexico City West Mission.

I don't think I'm gonna write a big letter this week I'm too lazy haha. But yeah the earthquake was crazy!! I mean I'm used to it by now, I wasn't scared tbh, but my companion couldn't sleep that night haha. Hopefully you guys can enjoy your annivresary, it's crazy that it's already been 22 years!! The work is going good here, we've had some good lessons recently, just trying to help our investigators progress and stuff. The last time I gave service....well today we're gonna wash a car of a member haha, but we always are doing small things to help out, it's lots of fun. The hardest thing this week was definitely getting sick, I mean I had some projectile vomit hahaha. It was NOT fun. And we don't have gas anymore so we've been bathing out of a bucket. But I think tomorrow we can finally get gas. This week something funny......hmmm. I learned a new joke in Spanish. Let me explain it to you haha. The joke is: cuantos chinos hay en china? In English that's: how many Chinese people are there in china? But chinos doesn't only mean chinese people, it also means people with curly hair. So the answer is: ninguno, porque todos son lacios. which means: there's not, because they all have straight hair. Get it??? Because Chinese people have straight hair hahahhahhaa. I love Spanish jokes man. Right now I've been studying the sermon on the mount, and this week I'm going to go through the Book of Mormon and the harmony of the gospels and make the correlation between the two books. Man it's just so good haha. I love you lots mom!! have a great week.

the example
It's been another normal week in Sauces, working and working. Just a short email this week. In the ward here we've been doing something with all the organizations, speaking individually to each group of people in the ward. A few weeks ago we went and spoke for about 5 minutes to the Relief Society about how we were so thankful that they feed us every day. We went in and shared the story that's found in 2 kings 17 I think, about when Elijah goes to some town and asks the lady to make him some bread and stuff, but she says that she doesn't have enough, she was about to make bread for her and her son and then they would eat and die. But Elijah makes a promise that if she makes bread for him first that the flour would never run out or something like that. So we shared that with the sisters and made the same promise. Some times it's a sacrifice to give us food every day, but the sisters will always be blessed for that. Yesterday we visited the young women, and shared Proverbs 31:10, and D&C 25:2-3, which talk about how a virtuous woman has a worth far above rubies, and about how they are elect ladies, and shared how in school and life sometimes we may not think that, but like the scriptures say, we always have to remember the divine worth that we have as children of God. We plan on talking with the priesthood about the roles they have, and then to the primary and young men about how they can be missionaries now as they prepare to serve missions when they're older. I feel like each person needs a special message in this life, and when we receive it things start to change. I feel like for me it was my EFY counselor that shared his mission story with me, and that's when my life started to change. I know that God puts people in our lives that are special, and we need to come into contact with those people so that our lives can change. God always answers prayers, in weird ways, but he always answers because he loves us. Hopefully you guys all have a great week!! God loves us, miracles are real, and tacos are delicious. The church is true homies, read the Book of Mormon and your lives will change. Pinky promise.
